Setting the scene:
Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri.
It’s early evening or late at night- it doesn’t matter, just make the scene seductive.
Your lover is here, take advantage… Pink candles to match the cocktail, pink roses for your lover, spray the room with Thai orchid scents, dim the lights, slip off your shoes to show gorgeous pink painted toe nails.
Pop a dreamy Gershwin compilation on and sip your cocktail through pink sugary lips.
For 2 lovers
Get on with it…
You’ll need a blender that has strong blades to chop ice – most blenders do.
Mix 3 tablespoons caster sugar with enough pink food colouring to make a glowing pink sugar mix.
Take the cocktail glasses and holding them upside down dip the rims into about 5ml of cold water, now repeat this by dipping them into the pink sugar mix. Shake off any excess and leave to set.
Pop 10 large strawberries, hulled and roughly chopped, into the blender, add 2 tablespoons lime juice, freshly squeezed and pour over 100ml white rum. Now add two handfuls of ice cubes, pop the lid on and blend for about 20 seconds.
If you want the daiquiri thicker just add more ice. Thread 1 strawberry and 1 maraschino cherry onto a short thick straw and drape a twirl of lime skin over it.
