Lock Down Love In
Tagliatelle
There is no doubt that Wanda and Roque would complain about being in ‘lock down’. More time to play, more time to cook and definitely more time spent in bed.
Roque loved giving Wanda presents and recently he had surprised her with an Imperia pasta making machine. An item from her ‘wish’ list.
Until now they just hadn’t had time to play with it but now they were ready to delve into ‘Pasta’ a great book by Antonio Carluccio. This was a bible of every conceivable type of pasta loved by the Italians.
So the Imperia pasta machine was secured to the kitchen table, a scenario not unfamiliar to Wanda!
Making home made pasta
The ingredients Lock Down Love in pasta are so simple, 3 large fresh eggs and 300g Durum wheat flour also known as tipo 00 flour, next they made a well in the flour and dropped in the 3 whisked egg.
Then with lots of love and a bit of kneading they formed the pasta dough.
Needing each other, feeding a desire to produce a fantastic Italian extravaganza, needing to open some fine Montepulciano d’Abruzzo red wine from the d’Abruzzo region in Italy with its fragrant ripe cherries and strawberry nose.
Once the pasta dough was ready it was fed through the Imperia pasta machine several times going from thick to medium to thin.
The long flat strands were supple and sensuous in the afternoon light. Once they were satisfied with the result they hung the tagliatelle over a supported broom handle to dry ready for tomorrows feast.
Pasta sauce with prawns and lime
To make the prawn and lime creamy pasta sauce they took 350g fresh prawns, the juice and the zest of a lime, a tin of finest Italian chopped tomatoes, 3 cloves of finely chopped smoked garlic, a good grind of black pepper and a good pinch of rock salt, 10g butter and 200ml of double cream.
Using a heavy frying pan they heated the butter and garlic until just coloured, then they added the drained tomatoes and let them fuse for a couple of minutes.
Now the prawns and lime juice are added and simmered for another few minutes. Finally pouring in the double cream and adding the lime zest. The aroma from the pan was orgasmic, beautiful, tempting.
Now their home made pasta was dropped into lightly salted boiling water for just a couple of minutes, drained and covered in the sumptuous rich sauce finishing with a flourish of freshly chopped parsley.
Zabaglione
They planned to finish with Roque’s delicious zabaglione. Once all the preparations where made, Wanda asked Roque to set the table with candles and polished wine glasses.
The next thing was Roque skipping round waving his arms and making clucking noises. “Whatever are you doing darling” she said with a giggle in her voice. “Just laying the table – OK?” He carefully placed the new set of Karmasutra tablemats in place.
Italian lingerie
It was time for Wanda to slip on her much prized slut red lingerie from Ritratti Milano. Prized because Roque had made up a competition (in bed of course) and this was the prize.
Time in bed wow…
Because they were on lock-down they had decided to make this an occasion so they both went and showered and dressed in fine dining attire. “Madam your table awaits and I’m your head waiter for tonight”.
Andrea Bocelli
He held back the chair for her to sit down and poured the wine. Then to her amazement the voice of Andrea Bocelli filled the room – men speaking Italian always made Wanda horny but men who ‘sang’ in Italian were just amazingly sexy…
Knowing this was all planned Wanda had bought on line a model Ferrari. As the evening closed she passed him the gift. Underneath it said “take me to bed in your Ferrari – and drive me wild…” Enough said…

This is Roque’s recipe for perfect zabaglione – for your Lock Down – Love in
4 Large egg yolks
2 level tablespoons soft brown sugar
A pinch of salt
1 level teaspoon cornflour
A splash of brandy
5 fl oz (150 ml) Marsala wine
Grated nutmeg
Drop the egg yolks into a suitable bowl and add the sugar and the cornflour
Begin by putting the egg yolks in a medium-sized bowl and then add the sugar, the pinch of salt and the cornflour.
Mix everything together with an electric hand mixer until it is light and fluffy. Now pour in the Masala wine bit by bit and the brandy and keep whisking until smooth.
Pour this into a suitable saucepan and keep whisking over a low heat until it thickens. This will take up to 10 minutes until it’s light and foamy.
Serve it warm in dessert glasses finishing with a flourish of nutmeg.
