“Is it all about red roses and pretty jewellery, is it all about cards and pink knickers or is it about ‘the language of Love’?
Wanda leant across the black satin pillows to where Roque was obviously pondering her question. “ Well my darling Wanda” he whispered “I think it’s a matter of talking dirty in bed” from gentle moans to role-playing.
Roque said dirty talk is a sure fire Language of Love, teasing your lover using nothing but words and sounds, they believed it to be a powerful ‘tool’ during sexual encounters.
Pillow talk
She picked up a pillow and was about to whack him with it when he said “lets talk about Cupid and his little arrows, about his friend Aphrodite renowned for her love and passion- inducing aphrodisiacs”. Aphrodite had many lovers but the most important on Valentines Day is Ares, the God of War whose love child was Eros the God of Romantic Love.
He went on to tell her that back in the day, to show your lover that you were attracted to them you gave them gloves on St Valentines Day because if you take away the G and the S you have LOVE. How very sweet…
Body Language
Body language is everything when you are in love, its how you choose the flowers and how you present them, it’s the little notes you leave under the pillow or on the breakfast table. Its how you call your lovers name and just how you read them poems from Susan Polis Schutz ‘Language of Love’. It’s how you cook them a special menu, how you present your body and how you move when aroused. Just imagine for a moment or two the electric language of love when your lover undresses you seductively by candlelight. OK calm down…
Anyone can see the language of love in Cleopatra’s eyes when she held her Mark Anthony naked on the couch. The language of love is expressed in food, clothes, words, deeds, gifts, erotica and of course, touch.
For Valentines Day they planned to watch the Language of Love a 1969 Swedish movie directed by Ur Karlekens Sprak. But first a Valentine gift, Roque had chosen a painting by Tashe named ‘Undress me’ carefully wrapped in pink ribbon and harbouring a bunch of pink roses.
The other special gift came from Pour Moi at bedtime… Wanda had chosen a beautifully tooled black leather bracelet with their names engraved on the silver collar, a bondage love pillow from Liberator and of course a pair of sexy cufflinks from Etsy.
The Festival of Romantic Dining
But now the festival of dining. It’s a proven fact that food and sex go hand in hand. First date ‘May I take you out to dinner’, you choose a special venue, dress to impress and hope for midnight fun…
Cocktails to start. In Martini glasses Roque poured a mix of crushed ice, crushed strawberries, lime juice, maple syrup, Bourbon whisky and club soda then garnished it with fresh strawberries and mint leaves. Voilá a Kensington Kiss!
The starter was a strong aphrodisiac dish, oysters in chilli and ginger as foreplay. This super sexy dish is assembled with 12 oysters in their half shells.
Now he mixed together in a small bowl, 1 clove of garlic, minced, 1 small piece fresh ginger finely chopped, 2 tablespoons mirin, 1 tablespoon light soy sauce, 4 spring onions finely sliced, 1 red chilli finely chopped and 2 tablespoons sesame oil, this is dressed over the oysters with a flourish of chopped chives. Served to share by candlelight.
Yes, this is the language of LOVE…They imbibed a cool crisp bottle of Definition Pouilly Fume, an amazingly lusty white wine form the Loire supplied by Majestic.
They chatted comfortably together recounting their many adventures from romantic, mad scooter rides and eating oysters in Paris to picnics by the river, from seeing Romeo and Juliet on Broadway to meeting friends and sailing round Corfu.
Now for the main event
Wanda sprinkled red rose petals on the table while Roque prepared hollowed out tomatoes holding night lights around a platter of pink rice, balsamic roasted garlic mushrooms and Sweet and Sticky Char Siu Chinese BBQ Pork all to be eaten with chop sticks. The dish was sexy food heaven to Wanda.
This dish uses pork shoulder, fresh ginger, garlic, honey, bean curd, chilli flakes and Hoisin sauce. It’s a bit of work but so very worthwhile. They savoured every mouthful leaving a clean plate and a very satisfied look on their faces.
Wanda moved over and sat on Roques knee “thank you my darling – you are the best chef ever” he smiled a coy smile. She kissed him and then said “I’ll be back in a minute”.
As the sun went down…
She returned looking so amazingly beautiful, gorgeous, sexy and pointed out she was part of his Valentine’s Day present.
She wanted to express the language of love to him.
Dessert was now on hold – surprise, surprise.
The sun had gone down and the candles were burning low when they eventually ate their Valentines Day dessert. Wanda had made white chocolate and raspberry tarts, a delicious combination of fruit, white chocolate and cream.
Wishing you all a very happy, romantic and sexy Valentines Day (and every day!) – good night.
With love Roqué and Wanda xx
