Classic Love
The garage doors creaked open on their old hinges. Roque opened the two doors and inside covered with a grey tarpaulin was the gift Uncle George had bequeathed him. Sadly now departed Uncle George was a keen motorist and this had been his pride and joy since 1962.
Together, and with a certain air of excitement they peeled off the cover. The Red Triumph TR3 was immaculate. Roque got in and to his absolute delight when he turned the key all the lights shone.
With a finger shaking with excitement, he pushed the starter button. The TR fired up immediately.
Wanda led the way home with Roque in the TR3 with a huge smile on his face.
The next week they planned to take the TR3 and pack a really sexy picnic in the boot.
Now that’s asparagus
Wanda prepared asparagus rolled in smoked salmon, crab claws from Fish for Thought.
With garlic mayonnaise, sweet cherry tomatoes in a Dijon mustard vinaigrette, crisp chicory and cherry salad some ripe brie cut into heaty shapes, chilled keta salmon roe with wedges of juicy lemon, kalamata olives she had marinated in parsley, olive and sundried tomato tearing sharing focaccia bread with fresh basil leaves.
Olive & Sunblush Focaccia
Into a large bowl put 500g strong white flour, 2 tsp salt, 1 x 7g sachet of dried yeast, 2 tbsp olive oil & 300ml water. Stir to form a dough & then knead for 5 minutes gradually adding a further 100ml water. Stretch the dough & fold in, feeling the love, revolving the bowl & repeating for 5 more minutes.
Turn out the dough onto an oiled surface & knead for 5 minutes more. That’s the workout done! Cover with clingfilm & leave in a warm place until the dough has doubled in size.
Line a large baking tray & tip the dough into the centre & gently press it out into a large circle. Slide the tray into a big plastic bag making sure the dough isn’t touching & leave to prove for an hour.
Pre-heat the oven to 220C/200 fan. Poke holes halfway through the dough & drop in black & green olives & sunblush tomatoes. Drizzle with olive oil & sprinkle with sea salt then bake for 20 minutes. Scatter with fresh basil leaves to serve.
Summer seduction…
Wanda had chosen her Isabella bra and knickers from Honey Birdette – just right for this occasion and surely would lead to a love triumph! This sensuous delight was hidden under a short crop pink top and a rose coloured flowing mini skirt. She had worn this as she prepared the picnic making sexy thoughts command her attention through the food she chose.
A great vintage
The picnic was the star of the show and a bottle of pink cava in an iced jacket with flutes added to the gastronomic adventure. 
The yellow gingham picnic blanket completed the scene. She was ready…to triumph!
The packed the TR3 and headed out to a little cove they knew which was usually deserted but perfect for today’s venue. Roque donned his white sneakers, bright yellow Brooke Taverner shorts and his favourite Moli Lulu vintage shirt. As they drove, Taylor Swift Fearless album played with their favourite song ‘Love Story’!
The picnic culminated in fresh strawberries and sliced peaches ripened and warmed in the sunshine served on a banana leaf with a big dollop of clotted cream collected from the local dairy – all eaten in their fingers – deliciously messy!
The triumph roars!
The picnic carefully packed into the boot of the Triumph, Wanda slipped off her top and mini skirt and lay spread eagled on the bonnet of the car. Roque moved to her thinking ‘now this is a real triumph…’.
