For Roqué and Wanda food is a passion with a capital P.
The sweet summer smell of the rose garden and the warm sun on Wanda’s soft silky skin inspired Roqué to create a heavenly chicken dish with rosewater, adding the bitter sweet infusion of thyme, pert red pomegranate jewels ready to pop with juicy flavour and the crunch of toasted sugary salty almonds.
Roqué was a keen thigh lover and so rather than breasts he had chosen chicken thighs which he massaged gently but firmly with the marinade. The dish needed to infuse with the aromatic flavours for an hour or two so Wanda suggested a rose water bath to complement their supper.
Roqué filled the bathroom with candles, ran a hot bath and scattered bitch red rose petals all over the steaming water to release their glorious perfume. As Wanda dipped her toe in Roqué reached for the sponge, now he was ready to gently wash off the rose petals that would cling to her exquisite naked body!
Beautiful and erotic time passed with bathing and passion and now they felt a different hunger. The chicken was ready to roast until succulent and golden. The glossy, unctuous sauce would be drizzled over it and the jewels, petals and almond flakes strewn. Gilding the plate were heart shaped sauté potatoes, dusted with cayenne pepper to ensure they were spicy, hot and crispy.
Finally he lit the candles, scattered rose petals over the table, and served cool crisp sparkling rose Cava in tall seductive flutes. He ran his fingers down the slender glass like he would down Wanda’s exciting body.
