Just Deserts
Setting the scene:
Roasted Apricot Eaten Mess
Lazy days and time to savour and enjoy culminating in a sensuous dessert to spoon to each other.
Wanda served the dish – Roqué restrained from too much implied desire.
The sun was setting; Wanda sidled up to Roqué and spanked his bare bottom. But wait, roasted apricot eaten mess has to devoured first.
They sat on the floor overlooking the glorious sunset and she fed him, spoons sliding into whipping cream, delving into ice cream, discovering slivers of apricot and crunchy meringue.
The scent of sandalwood incense floated across the room reminding them of nights in India.
When the glass was empty Wanda kissed the last crumb of meringue from his lips.

Roasted Apricot Eaten Mess
Halve & stone 2 fresh apricots & place under a hot grill for a few minutes until the edges of the fruit begin to darken. Remove, cool & slice.
Whisk up 200ml whipping cream with 1 tsp icing sugar & ½ tsp vanilla extract until stiff enough to pipe.
Whipping cream & stiff – always a good thought. Crush 2 small meringue nests in a bowl (shop bought is perfectly good).
Take 1 large Martini glass (this is a sharing dessert) & start to assemble.
First some crushed meringue then 3 scoops of best Cornish ice cream, then more meringue & whipped cream piped in a swirl.
Pop the apricots all around & scatter with flaked almonds & shelled green pistachio nuts.
Garnish with heart shaped biscuits & a spoon to feed each other – very slowly with their eyes closed.
