Just Deserts
Setting the scene:
Naughty Ice Cream Heart cakes
Roqué brought flowers to his lover – she just loved his twolips, red and inviting thrust through a shiny black heart, each one a symbol of his love for her.
Red and black candles were lit and bound together – Wanda was so jealous! A shower of dark chocolate covered coffee beans set the scene for feast of chocolate brownies cut into hearts and filled with the best Haagen das Tiramisu Speculoos ice cream.
The lights were low and the mood was exciting. Roqué took a blindfold and placed it over Wanda’s eyes then broke off a piece of Naughty Ice Cream Heart and a sliver of strawberry then teased her pouting lips until he let her take it into her craving mouth.

Get on with it…
With this recipe you will have leftover brownie pieces & leftover ice cream – all good to freeze for another special occasion.
First of all prepare the ice cream filling. Line a shallow tin with clingfilm and spread 460ml of softened Haagen-Dazs Tiramisu Speculoos ice cream in it. Fast freeze until hard.
Preheat the oven to 180C. Grease a 30x20x4cm baking tin & line it with baking parchment. In a large bowl mix together 275g softened unsalted butter, 350g caster sugar, 4 large eggs, 75g cocoa powder & 100g self raising flour – a hand held electric mixer is ideal. When all the ingredients are well blended stir in 100g dark chocolate chips & 50g walnut pieces. Pour the lovely mixture into the baking tin & with a spatula spread evenly & into the corners. Bake for 35-40 minutes until a little crusty on top yet still slightly squidgy when pressed.
Amuse yourselves while it cools then cut out 8 heart shapes of brownie & prepare some warm Belgian chocolate sauce. Now the assembly needs to be quick so make sure your lover is good & ready – for dessert that is. Get the ice cream out of the freezer & cut 4 matching heart shapes & make brownie heart sandwiches with ice cream in the middle. Drizzle with the warm chocolate sauce, pop strawberries on top of each & serve. Yummmmy!!
